How important? Well... Many sufferers of long Covid are being told, by their doctors, that they're fine, because all the tests say they're fine. This paper gives those patients a way to refute that. The paper calls out that circumstance specifically, and provides references.

To be clear: this was a shaft of sunlight that I happened to notice just before dusk (not artificial lighting designed to achieve a dramatic effect).
