I highly suspect Stephen King read this comic, as almost all of his writing or film dialogue is easily recognizable by the intricacies and depth of his knowledge on all things from his childhood -- especially things like comics, weekly or periodical fiction, publishing, and so on

True. King is the epitome of “America,” but in a very wholesome way. Ironically, he typically writes some terrifying things. That’s why I love him. I love the way he builds a scene and I am able to call back my childhood through his eyes.
