More than 3x buffers per screen?. Haha. I run a 38 wide curved. How many more can one fit in a screen? Is it possible to do 4?? Hmmm!!

Both of you have a point, IMHO. There ought to be a length limit. 80 chars has felt too few to me for a while though, given that nowadays we do templates, lambda functions and expressions, data types by comprehension, etc instead of ASM — I'd be happy with a limit of 160 :-)

160!!!!!!! Are you human! Haha.

Neurodiverse folks may struggle with two screens open at the same time, let alone three. It's not a "waste" of buffers, but rather what I can process.

Noone prevents you from using a single screen. But long lines you enforce on everyone who reads your code and those are hard for many to read.

I use more than that. Dozens of buffers. A few frames. At most 4 windows in a frame, usually 1, or two, the compile buffer and the source code. Frames are almost always full screen.

The real waste here is time spent using Emacs.
