Would love to see other newsrooms doing this. Don't make your black employees use a vacation day for this holiday, which is not only culturally relevant for many of us, but is an important part of our country's history. Covering it is great, but is that enough?

I would love us Americans to celebrate Juneteenth like Carnival and Mardi Gras. Always wondered why we didn't but it's clear that white folks would've been too offended and burned our shit down.
