I need more technicians on my team who can couple/install modern kitchens & wardobes: modern drawers, kitchen equipment, vanities, sanitary accessories, pocket doors, motion sensors, etc. Pictures of work done attached: Please hit me up if you know of anyone.

I hope that babe that told during the campaign season that he was a liar and would be every bit as bad as his predecessors is having a fantastic day wherever she is.

    8. And that’s just one of the issues, should we analyze the lack of adequate public vehicles and traffic gridlock which are also negative effects of the ban? I guess I’ll leave that for someone else. The Nigerian government has failed us and will stop at nothing to keep at it.

    4. Its reasons? Increased number of accidents and crime from 2016-2019. But Interestingly, a Vanguard report in August 2018 was quoted as saying that the crime rate in Lagos had reduced by 55% and the major cause of the crimes were not even attributed to bikes or keke.

    7. Most, if not all of the people who have just been rendered jobless were self-employed, if the government could not provide a third of the jobs needed to reduce the rate of unemployment in the state, how then will it tackle the impending disaster on its hands.

    6. So I checked the website of the LSETF, but after navigating the pages and trying to register for an opportunity to learn a trade, here’s what I found (pic below). Yes, a dead link which only proves the fact that the govt has no alternative solution to the mess it just created.

    5. In an FAQ response to the question of what the alternative was for those who will lose their sources of income and livelihood, the government asked them to visit the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) and the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

    3. Yet effective today, 1st of February 2020, the lagos state govt moved to ban motorcycles and tricycles in 15 local governments affecting major areas, without an effective solution to the massive loss of jobs the ban will create.

    2. Since the government has increasingly failed to meet job demands, most people have had to create their own jobs. In a report by indexmundi, as at September 2019, 81.29% of Nigerians were self-employed.

    1. As at Q3 2018 (which was the last time the NBS issued a report on the Labour Force Statistics in Nigeria) the unemployment rate stood tall at 23.10%, an all-time highest. Youth unemployment rate in the same quarter was at an alarming 36.5%.

So I did a thread on the recent Lagos State ban on all motorcycles (Okada, Go-Kada etc) and tricycles (keke) in major parts of the state and how it will lead to massive unemployment. Figures and charts were from TradingEconomics, NBS, IndexMundi and The ILO .

Lest we forget: Buhari's admin has recorded an All time high level of inflation, nepotism, insecurity, Min. wage reduction & increase in no of unemployed. Yet the, Garba Shehu thinks Senator Abaribe's call for is foolish. May we never be blinded by self interest.
