      @IPCC_CH's AR5 was written by >600 experts from 32 countries and was approved by governments of 195 nations. It synthesises >9200 scientific papers and addressed 54,677 comments from 1089 reviewers. It is the most thoroughly and rigorously reviewed scientific document in history.

      Different -- the SR15 is a 'special report,' the AR5 (2014) is a global assessment. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPCC_Fifth_Assessment_Report … They've started doing special reports to get published science compiled faster on specific topics.

      SR15 is meant to detail the value and requirements of the 1.5C 'high ambition target' of the Paris agreement, which had not been specifically covered in an IPCC report prior.
