The eye of Dorian is literally right over The Bahamas, yet this tweet is only worried about Florida. Racism is so ugly. The blatant lack of concern for the lives of people in this mostly Black nation is hard to stomach.pic.twitter.com/3kdUvGslct

Or the difference between 50,000 people inthe Bahamas and the path of 3 million if it hits Florida. Woke politics is disgusting and faux outrage discredits the real dangers facing millions right now.

I'm terrified for Florida and the US coast. But literally there is an image of a country being hit with a catastrophic hurricane and no mention of that? Why not say we are with ALL effected? Why only mention Florida when a child has already died?

Likely because it's an organization centered around the United States. It's absurd to suggest racism is the reason when the entire organization is centered around US politics and has a strong presence in Florida.

One of the things I love about being an American is the compassion many of us feel for others. Many brave Americans have died for non-Americans. Heartbreaking to me when I don't see the same kind of concern shown for Bahamians (who have already died) as for Floridians.

You can love your country and still show human decency and compassion for others who don't happen to share your nationality.
