What specifically is the underlying analysis you're referring to? I'm curious to hear your take on China, sea power, and Russia. With their investments in solar, it makes sense to me that China is leading whereas US has been severely lagging. Would love to hear thoughts tho!

Another reason for a phone call.. I don't know enough to understand what's dangerous about the thinking on "China/BRI/Russia."

But couldn't China's militaristic goals help them with other goals (like energy dominance)? Both seem to be entangled. I didn't take Kingsmill's analysis to pass judgement one way or another: just to state that China is set to dominate because of BRI.

Oh, I didn't take away from Kingsmill that BRI is green. Not at all. Only that China would be able to leverage BRI for energy dominance when renewables take over more of the market share from fossil fuels. I understood BRI to be "strategic" not intrinsically "green."

Ha, that part about Russia didn't really capture me or leave an impression (maybe because I don't fully understand the context/impact of his words), so I didn't tweet about it.
