I'm not sure I buy/get this analysis. Do planes have an energy gain over boats? There are obv lots of challenges in the TNC model, but the flip side is a lever to lower carbon intensity per passenger mile, over time - get more people into fewer hybrids/EVs, bikes, even buses.
