Just to be clear, this does not help with the essential challenge of reducing energy demand so that renewables have a hope of replacing the fossil fuel which has to stay in the ground. THERE IS NOTHING GREEN GOING ON HERE - except greenwash.

Does BP really think we can't see through their very obvious and ridiculous attempts at greenwashing? I'm calling them out too!

Emily Cunningham @emahleeReplying to @BP_plc @bp_plc @PaulMos59746338BP says it "will take time & investment" to move toward renewable energy. This is dangerous and misguided. Why? – Physics has already set the timeline for us. We're out of time. – Climate delaying is the new climate denying. If we go at BP's pace we'll face catastrophic warming1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

Emily Cunningham @emahleeReplying to @bp_plc @BPChargemaster97% of BP's business is invested in fossil fuels. Only 3% in renewable energy. Your excuse as you accelerate the climate crisis, hurtling us toward catastrophic warming: "oil & gas are needed to meet growing global demand." Sounds like#BusinessAsUsual.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes
