Any suggestions on a change of emphasis or strategy? Useful to know all this ofc

I think that probably needs unpacking and this may be a tech-world / non-tech world divide, but usually I find the tone of pieces on climate written by tech-background people as “ppl don’t realise how deeply f*cked things are, tech controls you deeply, the end”. >

Over 8,000 (mostly tech) Amazon employees signed our public letter asking Bezos for climate leadership. That's almost 12% of the US corporate workforce. There's a huge amount of momentum.https://medium.com/@amazonemployeesclimatejustice/public-letter-to-jeff-bezos-and-the-amazon-board-of-directors-82a8405f5e38 …

Great speech, Emily!
And superb open letter (hadn’t seen it before)! “Our customer obsession requires climate obsession. This necessitates an immediate company-wide plan addressing climate change that demonstrates (these) principles:” only the 2050 goal seems off—not too late?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
Yes, agree on the 2050 goal. We went with the knowledge we had at the time and our understanding of the IPCC report at the time. Our thinking has since shifted!

Excellent, way to go! Has managers’ thinking shifted as well yet? This seems to be the power struggle, between unions (or decentralized self-organizing movements like yours) & corporate power / elite politics

Management hasn't even given a date for ANY our 100% renewable energy "goal" (how can we have a goal without a date - it's meaningless).
