The same will be true at @Amazon and Big Tech (ehem, @Google, @Microsoft) that actively partner with Big Oil by selling AI and data technologies to accelerate oil and gas discovery and extraction.
Younger workers are pissed and don't want any part in burning down our world.

Emily Cunningham @emahleeAmazon is actively wooing fossil fuel companies. By partnering with Big Oil and Gas (among other things), Amazon fails to see "climate as a fundamental, strategic driver of risks and opportunities" Thread

Emily Cunningham @emahleeThe carbon bubble won't just impact the fossil fuel industries. A correction often starts off rational and then panic ensues. Contagion will spill over to other companies that are 1) highly dependent on fossil fuels and, 2) whose business model services fossil fuel companies. 7/Show this thread1 reply 0 retweets 0 likesShow this thread -

Emily Cunningham added,
Emily Cunningham @emahleeSome experts estimate fossil fuel companies will lose 40-100% of their value in a market correction. If Amazon is identified as being attached to & dependent on fossil fuels, they will also suffer though not as much. Let's say 5% of a correction cost. That’s a TON of money. 15/Show this thread1 reply 0 retweets 1 likeShow this thread -

Emily Cunningham Retweeted Amazon Employees For Climate Justice
Like Big Oil, Amazon risks loosing talent.
@GlassLewis &@issgovernance sided with employees on our Amazon shareholder resolution (together they make up 97% of the advisory market). One reason cited: risk of attracting and retaining employees. 6/https://twitter.com/AMZNforClimate/status/1126922814848548864 …Emily Cunningham added,

Tech workers are Amazon's greatest asset. If Amazon continues to lag on climate action and partner with Big Oil & Gas, we risk loosing this talent. Just like fossil fuel co's
"cohort of 28 students, only 1 is going into the oil and gas industry."
