That's not true. Even the article you linked to says: "Gov. Inslee’s climate ambitions have been stymied by the legislature and by state voters. Most recently, voters turned down a ballot measure, backed by Inslee and a broad swath of environmental and social-justice groups."

Fact: the *United State's* carbon dioxide emissions rose by 3.4% in 2018. And yes, emissions rose in WA state too. Inslee has backed transformative climate legislation like Initiative 1633. FOSSIL FUEL companies spent millions defeating it.

I've been inspired by his leadership as governor of my state. Really
@JayInslee is inspiring because, for years, I've known I could trust that not only will he say the right thing, he'll do the right thing just because it's the right thing to do. -
This is a great point. Inslee is a man of principle, including walking the plank to get ACA passed. He lost his seat in the house because it was important to get Americans health care, whatever the personal cost.
