2) Amazon is a massive company. Emissions from shipments are an important but not comprehensive look into total emissions. Only tackling shipment emissions leaves so. much. out.

@IPCC_CH notes the world needs to reduce emissions by 45% by 2030 for a 60% chance — 60% chance! — of keeping global temp below 1.5C. Considering what’s at stake, these are terrible odds. So, for all the reasons listed above, Shipment Zero falls far, far short. -
A bit of clarification for # 3: net zero by 2030 should be our goal for the *entire company* — not just for shipping.
