Acupuncture is your friend with big bruises. 
Do the pins need to be on the bruises themselves? I’ve gone to the Pin Cushion which is near me. But everyone sits in chairs which is painful to me now and obviously no pins will be able to go on my bum if I’m sitting. Any acupuncture recommendations?
I don’t remember where pins were when I had a bruise that sounds like yours - outside of right thigh from hip to knee. :-/
