It's a larger issue with American journalism in general. It's why the media doesn't call Trump's lies, lies. Or his racist rhetoric, racist.

We've all seen it... neutrality to the point of absurdity. Democrats say the sky is Blue. Meanwhile, Republicans noted the color of the sky to be orange.
It may also be because America has just waged a 30 year undeclared war of the more-educated on the less-educated. That's what underpins the 'view from nowhere,' because journalism (produced by peers of the elites in other industries), has to mostly pretend this war didn't happen.
