Btw, I'm interested in chatting to possibly hire you. But I'm looking for people who deeply understand the climate crisis and how it will almost certainly cause economic crises and maybe even collapse.

I can’t say I DO understand deeply. It’s a political priority for me, certainly, but you may have noticed, financial services is always late to the party with things like this. ESG investing is still very small and nothing happens unless it gets turned into a regulation...

Also, how do you model economic collapse? I have no idea, so I’ll need to listen to the economic PhDs and go from there

Interestingly, I do think that the financial world is very much waking up to the unprecedented risks the climate crisis poses to the world economy. This thread has a lot of good links in it:https://twitter.com/emahlee/status/1131794951811919874 …

Companies not planning for rapidly transitioning off of fossil fuels are putting themselves at risk. Central bankers, fund managers, global investors are raising the alarm. https://twitter.com/AlexSteffen/status/1120207762779099136 …1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

Depending on how quickly we act on the climate crisis, it is a plausible (though not at all inevitable - that depends on our actions and decisions) threat to human civilization. So, I lump economic collapse in w the threat to human civilization in general.https://twitter.com/PeterGleick/status/1135668946311319553 …

Here are signs that the carbon bubble is beginning to crack. Unfortunately, I don't think it will be a planned, smooth transition: 1) https://twitter.com/emahlee/status/1145783437304795136 … 2) https://twitter.com/emahlee/status/1148481849016012800 … 3)https://twitter.com/emahlee/status/1140552712360099841 …

This thread on carbon pricing from
@AlexSteffen really got me legitimately concerned that the carbon bubble may burst without that much more leverage. So, I've been thinking about how to think about, plan, and prepare my finances (as much as one can):https://twitter.com/AlexSteffen/status/961663952206770177 …Emily Cunningham added,
