Honestly I think there is space for dialogue between the DiCaprio creative team and other leaders in this space. These culture brokers have a role to play in leading in public, and that can mean apologizing and redressing harm.
I agree. I mean, how many times have I messed up? Have each of us? The other day I caught myself white-splaining. Said just that, and apologized. We're living, breathing, drowning in this racist society. The key (maybe?) is being committed to humbly learning and changing.

Totally. They are not above learning and doing better in public. They are not martyrs who get a pass for bad behavior bc they are “saving the world”. Oh no. If anything, with that role and mantle, they are *even more* accountable.
