Journalists covering the climate crisis have one of THE most important jobs. Hats off to them. Media *institutions* fail us by not covering the climate emergency like the existential threat it is. Think media during WWII. Do we see anything like that? No.https://twitter.com/WolfeReports/status/1141568173046673414 …

I recommend listening to
@KHayhoe on this. She has been told that#climateChange is a ratings killer for 24 hour news. When your market doesn't want to listen, then your advertisers and funders won't pay. It's not fair, but that appears to be the way of it. -
It's somewhat different for a public broadcaster or a broadcaster that is less reliant on advertising e.g BBC, channel 4 in the UK and Netflix who have all created serious hard hitting content that doesn't have to bow to advertisers

@cbc@ctv@globalnews In 2019, *every* story has a climate angle. If you don't see it, you're not looking very hard.#TellTheTruth -#EndClimateSilence You need: a "climate editor" to ensure every story includes it somewhere a focused climate segment on every news cast.Thanks. And local governments that are ready to call it a "climate emergency" should start by launching continuous public dialogue, so this conversation doesn't stay in a silo.https://twitter.com/cityatlas/status/1097843114545422339 …

Addiction crisis. Social coercion (go grab what you need like rest of us do) is replacing social cohesion. Endemic plague in consumer society. Solution is give more to get more. Military crisis - again! Obviously more women empowered is its true solution https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Androcracy
