I just changed my Twitter profile location from Seattle to Duwamish dxʷdəwʔabš land. Because that's the truth of where I live. The Duwamish people have been in a fight w the US gov for federal recognition- this makes me so angry. Their longhouse is beautiful. Much, much respect.

If you live or work in Seattle, please "stand in solidarity with First Peoples of this land [the Dumanish Tribe] by paying Real Rent." I'd heard about Real Rent for a long time before doing anything about it. I regret not acting sooner. Check it out
