Internet friends, I'd like to draw your attention to what leadership looks like when you work in a tech company, and realise the organisation itself could be a mahoosive lever for change. Doing this is also good business sense for the company. Should totally be the norm.https://twitter.com/emahlee/status/1074441121391042565 …

@emahlee is there a press release or is the resolution mentioned something that would be applicable for other companies too? I know Google already reports on stuff like this, and was surprised that Amazon didn't.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likesShow this thread -
Replying to @mrchrisadams
Yes, Amazon is far behind its competitors on climate. Google & Apple have already reached 100% renewable energy (since 2017 & 2014, respectively). Microsoft publicly pledged to cut emissions by 75% by 2030. Shockingly, Amazon has NO DATE for getting to 100% renewable energy.

Without a date Amazon's commitment to renewable energy means nothing. Meanwhile, "Walmart has set a goal to be powered by 50% renewable sources by 2025, and has currently achieved 28%, making the goal well on track toward on-time completion." https://www.energymanagertoday.com/walmart-releases-global-responsibility-report-inches-closer-to-100-renewable-energy-goal-0177995/ …
