@daveregrets oh no! I went looking for your tweet thread about how 2019 was about heroism in climate activism and see that it’s deleted. That thread was extremely moving to me. And I referred to at times when I needed to cry and be inspired by what we / others are doing.
Do you happen to have it saved anywhere? And if so, would you mind sending it to me privately? Or perhaps you just have a photo of the dying polar bear? I tried doing a google image search and couldn’t find it. Man, just thinking about that polar bear gets me.
Honestly, before reading your thread, and seeing that photo of the polar bear, I *didn’t* focus on or grieve polar bears. I didn’t allow myself to. I think I was reacting to the misanthropy in the environmental movement circa 2005ish, where animals were good, humans despicable.
Your thread was so good for me. I finally had permission to ball my eyes out about polar bears.
