The main reasons I like to focus on individual action are:

I guess I'd say, the message isn't resonating in that particular thread, hence Jessica's critique. What if someone randomly came across your thread and didn't know you and had never read anything of yours including that large-scale societal change is needed?

Maybe if you started something like, "to move the needle on climate, large-scale collective action is needed. X person has a great thread on this. But for those curious about individual actions, read this thread, [then some number giving individual vs collective action context]"
