But I also don't think we've lost everything. There's still a lot to loose. People don't understand how much has already been lost and what's at stake, though. Otherwise initiative 1631 would have passed in WA state, or climate would be everyone's #1 issue (which it should be).
But do I think I'm fighting just to fight and what I do is an inconsequential lost cause even if it might be the right, moral thing? Hell no! I absolutely think what I (and others) do makes a difference, even if I'll never know the impact it had.

I will continue to be heartbroken daily over what has already been lost and will be lost, but I know too, that so much MORE can be lost if people like you and me and a growing number of countless others don't fight.

And I think we'll be much more effective fighters if we go in thinking we can still win important battles that matter immensely, while at the same time remembering that so much has already been lost. This position, I think, is both true & can inspire. End. Thanks for listening.
