@TeamYouTube just creates more confusion because itll be >harder< to identify or understand who's official.
More >easy< to impersonate people.
I usually admire Google's UX skills, but this move is just bad for their platform, creators and users. Bad design and bad UX.

It could look cool if everyone did it and knew that it meant "verified". Newbies to YouTube won't know that, though, because no other social media app does it. It's not as self explanatory as they may think, but I'm hoping they make it look more obvious or something.

The amount of fake YouTube channels is gonna skyrocket. It's not fair to people who have been verified for years though to remove it from them. If they were verified once, they should always be verified, even if the rules get changed in the future.
