There is a contradiction between that comic and the official game lore. In the comic, which supposedly takes place right after the expansion begins, Shalamayne rests over Anduin's table, but in the game he only found it later, when he arrived at the Broken Shore.
True ! Or might it might later during the expansion, after he retrieved it? Honestly I don't remember that comic anymore...

Considering that he is reading the letter of his father in the first pages of the comic, it is suggested (at least in my perception) that he had recently received it. Also, all of the other comics of that "collection" took place during the events of the pre-patch.

There is no undeniable evidence that it did take place before he found the sword later in the Broken Shore patch. However, it would be strange to release a comic about that point of the story before the expansion was even released.
