If not: My theory for the prepatch event is a cinematic of Genn in front of Varian's memorial announcing that the High-King has disappeared.

Max 5 years timeskip for me. I don't want a reboot and seeing new characters I don't care about while lot of others disappeared, tbh.

I think it's pretty likely he'll be the one sending us to Northrend to drive back the Scourge invasion of the pre-patch. I'm okay with him sitting on his throne for a while to give other characters the spotlight.

Oh totally. I just don't want to believe Blizzard spread the Scarlet brotherhood manifestos in 8.3 for nothing. I want them back and I want the internal Alliance plots I hadn't got in BFA, ahah
