I think it's more about how much blood elves fans didn't want the Alliance to have the high elves... So here is the solution: Horde kind of get fake high elves but Alliance get normal skins for the void elves (hopefully new hair styles and blonde hair colors too...?)

I dont think they're getting new hairstyles, just "devoided" ones, as you can see there's no weird void tentacles. Plus again in the end it all comes down to (imo) why were velves added instead of helves, this is just a bandaid solution imo, since the horde will have more options
