The term 'machine learning' is like the term 'mobile' 7-10 years ago. It's simply something that all good software will do. You might be right, but I think machine learning is harder to do than mobile, so fewer vendors will be able. Absolutely, it is harder. But many vendors will 'claim' do do machine learning. What matters is *how they apply it*. So -- does machine learning become something vendors must claim to do to stay competitive? Sadly, the answer is yes. The real challenge will be for the software buyers to differentiate truth from 'noise'.
