Going to create a site where the public can rate the core truth of any article & track the credibility score over time of each journalist, editor & publication. Thinking of calling it Pravda …

Some journalist don’t have ability to write their own headlines though...
-
That’s why editors are included too
-
Maybe if the media was subjected to external peer-review before publication, like in the scientific literature, the rampant misinformation would stop.
-
The problem is more complex for media outlets. They have to deal with the influence of ownership, advertisement revenue, flak, sourcing etc. A peer-review process would easily become politically compromised. Check out Noam Chomsky's Manufacturing Consent.
-
Nice points. I guess the bot-blocked crowd sourcing Yelp model makes a lot of sense then.
-
The yelp model could be problematic. People would rate reports/reporters according to their own political biases. For example, Fox News viewers would poorly rate reporters critical of the Trump administration.

Let me preface that I’m a fan of yours, but this just seems like you’re creating a Yelp-based platform to strong arm journalists. If you’re serious about helping people understand the truth, I suggest funding media literacy programs and supporting educational efforts.

Where can I send my concept to? I am an industrial designer and have thought about this a lot. I think it will help. (I even re-activated my twitter account for this)

Yeah, most celebs who are constantly misrepresented by media eventually just shy away / become aggressive towards them, but I love how you're trying to come up with a legit solution

Nothing motivates better than the idea of not being last or at the bottom of the barrel. Frankly it would be refreshing to have the media ranked and rated as stringently as they rate and rank those they write about. I say bring it on.

Defining yourself by opinions of others is a terrible idea. A certain set of people will like you and a certain set wont. Who is more likely to vote-- the people who hate you, obviously (see 2016 election). All this would do is make journalists feel depressed and confuse readers.
