Especially the bit in the original when Charlie throws down a perfectly good slab of chocolate when he finds the winning ticket.

-
That was blasphemy.
-
And he was supposed to be poor...
-
He could at least have taken it home to his grandpa who bought him a bar, giving up his tobacco money & all..
-
The ticket was worth more. That’s why he took him. They were co-owners of the ticket. I guess he was too excited to eat the chocolate.
-
My 9 year old called him out for chucking the bar. My scripting brain understands it was too visually time-consuming & messy to see Charlie carefully wrap his chocolate, bought with free drain money, to go give grandpa or his mum. Ticket over chocolate Wins!

But wouldn't it have been more cruel to leave the Oompa Loompas at the mercy of the Wangdoodles, Hornswogglers, Snozzwanglers and rotten Vermicious Knids? I mean, if a Wangdoodle would eat 10 Oompa Loompas for breakfast, Wonka may have saved them from extinction.

That’s funny, far as I’m aware and correct me if I’m wrong ( I’m not ) but blacks were the first slave owners along with the arabs. It’s funny how people chose to ignore that or are to ignorant not t know history. And... slavery still exist today.. in black countries
