So...a bus.
-
I heard a guy working for one of those rideshare places on the phone to roll out, "rideshare on a dedicated route, so you know a car will be there at a given time and where it's going." We were literally ON A BUS when I overheard this conversation.

Or we could just use driverless vehicles to solve transit to-from the transit hubs. Hubs which are more efficient by every measure than a million tiny little stops. The only problem to solve is the last mile. That's it.
-
rocket skates or jetpacks would solve the last mile and make life twice as good

So basically cheaper underground public transit. Love it. NYC subway and pretty much every overworked subway could benefit if building and maint r cheaper not to mention more stops and a better express. Definitely gotta fund it now, you could damn near make a Kickstarter
-
I might be wrong here–but this looks more expensive than a subway

Couldn't we just build segregated cycle infrastructure as in Netherlands, to get folk who can (most of us) cycling to our destination doorsteps. Those who can't cycle could use cycle rickshaws or taxis, such as the excellent
@pedalmeapp service. -
Thank you for including people who can't cycle. So many of these conversations are ableist and/or assume the worst of people.
