This doesn’t make sense. There are safety measures in place with the autopilot Seat is weighted to
make sure there is a driver ,hands must be on steering wheel every 10 seconds or it disengages.
Autopilot doesn’t go over the speed limits oover limit isi mpossible... Research pls

Your research as a private individual is better than professionals !
Data logs recovered so far show Autopilot was not enabled & this car did not purchase FSD.
Moreover, standard Autopilot would require lane lines to turn on, which this street did not have.
As those of us with Teslas have been saying for the past day+.

NY times posted a article with title saying “Tesla with autonomous driving fatal crash” then in body say “did not know if autopilot was engaged” THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL

This is such bullshit if I’m not in the drivers seat manually engaging autopilot it doesn’t turn on!! What is the deal with all this negative publicity!!! My Tesla is by far the safest vehicle I have EVER owned!!

research is bad, to say the least. WSJ is intentionally making assumptions for clicks to sell ads

For extra context - Autopilot can only drive in most cases without lane lines IF autopilot was ACTIVATED on a road WITH lane lin before encountering a road WITHOUT lane lines. Otherwise - Autopilot CANNOT drive without lanelines.

Also as shown here by - with FSD (different from Autopilot) - the Tesla safely maneuvers to the side and puts on the hazard lights if a person removes their seatbelt.
