1. China says no new cases
2. People are running scenarios saying 10m-100m dead
3. Italy is in chaos but deaths are leveling out
4. Korea, China & Singapore are back to normal in 6-8 weeks?
None of this adds up. #coronavirus

Exactly. My guess is that the panic will cause more harm than the virus, if that hasn’t happened already.
Definitely happened already. People are eager to show off that they understand how crazy exponential compounding can get.

That’s because there’s a gap of weeks between getting sick and cure. Because of the exponencial progression people have the feeling that’s tough to fight the virus, but the truth is that cures are also exponential and after a few weeks active cases stabilize.

Probably, but the panic is a result of a complete failure from authorities to prepare the people. Now we all have to worry about our parents dying. If the authorities responded quickly and massively scaled up testing, the *dumb* panic could have been avoided.
