When will the first Starship Mk1 test flight be?
Aiming for 20km flight in Oct & orbit attempt shortly thereafter. Starship update will be on Sept 28th, anniversary of SpaceX reaching orbit. Starship Mk 1 will be fully assembled by that time.

Was the yellow/orange flame near the end of the flight nominal? Or was there a leak of some sort?

Likely dust from the pad getting burned up in the exhaust.

When would you start working on the second gen starship? A few years?

Apparently until the "Block 5" version of the Falcon 9 was finalized, SpaceX had been engaged in a continuous design improvement process. More or less each rocket was unique in at least some respect. Presumably they'll use a similar strategy with Starship / Super Heavy.

I have a feeling they will SSTO the Mk 1 while Mk 2 on Cocoa will fly ontop of SH, Boca chica is great and all but it doesn't have the infrastructure needed to hold the ground from the thrust of 31 raptors.
