I love that this ridiculous water tower with arguably the world's most sophisticated rocket engine stuck to it is now an actual flying rocket.
-
When people on r/spacex first spotted this they were legitimately talking about how SpaceX is building a water tower at Boca Chica and someone joked that it looks about BFR diameter. Nobody actually seriously thought it was a rocket. But there we go.

I should try to extract vibration data from the rolling shutter.

What I find interesting is the camera vibration seems primarily driven by reflected sound/pressure when near the surface, once flying it stabilizes.
-
Its worth noting that this must be the only significantly sized engine ever fired straight into the ground without any form of acoustic suppression. The impact on the underside of the vehicle must be tremendous.

Huge congrats to you and your team!!! We had an awesome time hearing raptor roar. Can’t wait for it to clear its own clouds next time!

I wonder if the next hop will be with the full body attached for stability.
