Good luck getting any of those 500k cars repaired though. Three Tesla certified body shops I've spoken to claim quote an average of 5 months for minor repairs solely due to parts delay.
To save the world he needs to sell new cars. Sporty cars with huge batteries. Repairing existing cars won't save the world and so it's not a priority.

He didn't say model 3, he said total. They were producing over 7k vehicles per week in Q3 of 2018 including S & X.
