@elonmusk any insight on the best nightly SoC for battery longevity? 90%, 70%, 50%?
Any software fix for unbalanced cells due to sub 90% nightly charges?

Prof Dahn is correct (he’s great), but the relative benefit is small. I’d recommend 10% more SoC for convenience.

I felt that charging to <90% doesn’t substantially
battery longevity. Charging to 90% provides piece of mind about having ample reserve.
That was in 2013, 102k miles ago. Typ. daily use is 90 to 65-70%. My current 100% charge is 251 miles vs. EPA rating of 265 miles when new.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
