Was a welcome feature. Fob signal many times can still reach the car if parked nearby. With 'PIN to drive', I don't worry about it anymore.

Thanks!

I know it's not related Elon but can you please investigate why Tesla still don't have two factor authentication for new devices that login with my Tesla login details. If I guess (or find out) your password I can find your car and drive off in it!
-
This has freaked me out since first taking my S in 2014...
-
Indeed same here, would you enter your login details into this box James? It has HTTPS and Tesla in the URL... If it's yes you would have just potentially given your cars password to a hacker. 2FA is the ONLY way to secure a major asset in your life (e.g. email account/car etc)pic.twitter.com/Z20jkk5QpK
-
Easily. 2FA is much much better agreed. Even that is slightly suspect as it depends on telco SIM changing security.
-
I personally wouldn’t use a phone number/SMS for 2FA. Token or Google Auth style is better.
-
It would only be for new logins to your Tesla account from a new device so either code via email or SMS would be best IMO
-
Understand ease but SMS 2FA is just not secure enough IMHO - especially as a Tesla login gives API access to lock/unlock cars etc.
-
Fair point. The issue is Tesla don’t like to partner they like to do it themselves (a mistake sometimes). I agree Google Auth would be great, I use it for loads of things.

Perhaps it’s time to install a fingerprint scan, face control and voice captcha on Tesla
-
better eye recognition
or intradermal chips
or why not, brain chips that you can not only activate your vehicle but also your home or your devices
yeahh

Neuralink and develop an interface for human-computer cybernetic symbiosis) I think soon we will be able to call the car with the power of thought and load knowledge right into your brain)))
-
Yes, that would be awesome
really I hope see that one day
