Yikes, I can’t agree with that Elon. I don’t know anything about climate change, but as a youth football coaching legend, I fully support hotter and more extreme weather in August because that is when we separate the men from the boys in preseason practice. Heat breeds toughness.

I really hope you're joking

The championship rings on my fingers and the letter jacket I’ve got on (class of ‘97) confirm there is no joking here. I’m a winner. Most people aren’t.
-
Would be interesting if you stay with that bullshit, if a tornado or tsunami kills your family. And real heros don't need to brag with their shit.
-
I’d love to see a tornado try and deal with my devastating downfield blocking.

We're in the middle of the swiftest
#energy production transition in history. The world can be a much better place, and it's our job to do something about it.#tech#technology#ClimateChange#business#teslapic.twitter.com/SVNaA408lc

Globally, the world produced approximately 5.9 TWh of modern renewable energy in 2016. This represents a 5 to 6-fold increase since the 1960s.

Electricity still comes from petro and coal primarily. Good luck.

62.7%(31.7% nat gas/30.1% coal/.5% petroleum/.4% other gases) 20% nuclear 17.1% renewablespic.twitter.com/SoP8jpoFAw

Unfortunately there is a lot of push in Japan to end nuclear energy after Fukushima and go back to coal. This would be bad for everyone if they go back to mostly coal.
-
Yes/No..Japan is in a sticky situation. A country that once received 30% of it's energy from nuclear power. It is also a country that has frequent typhoons/earthquakes. The once 'slam dunk' safety of nuclear power there has been drawn into serious question post-Fukushima.
-
The earthquake didn't actually cause the bulk of the issue at Fukushima it was the tsunami. A solution would be to bring a nuclear plant to an inland lake and away from the ocean.
-
I am aware of this. My BIL in the Air Force rendered assistance to Fukushima disaster.(the earthquake caused the tsunami-strong earthquakes can level concrete structures) No guarantees w/ nuclear. Chernobyl-Three Mile...accidents can happen anywhere.
-
The accident in Fukushima was caused by TEPCO. They knew a tsunami of that size could come after studying the matter following the big tsunami in SEAsia. They chose NOT to spend $80mn to build a seawall.
