My hope is *all* current investors remain with Tesla even if we’re private. Would create special purpose fund enabling anyone to stay with Tesla. Already do this with Fidelity’s SpaceX investment.

Happy to do that, though how will it span out in the long term? Will our investment/gains be quantified only when Tesla goes back public, or do we get other ways to be tangible partners in the Tesla journey?

His letter qualifies but generally investing in a private co means you’re along for the ride until a liquidity event like an acquisition or public offering, though his letter says there could be opportunities to sell every six months.
