A cooperative is not the same as a country. For one thing it consists of volunteers. Socialist countries conscript non believers into their experiment.

Don't divert the argument. You did mention company. But yes, democratic socialism is in practice to greater or lesser degrees in the world at different levels of governance, especially in Europe.
