i am a janitor with 21 followers and mister musk laid me off and i just want to say that i deserve it sir, i was a very bad boy and came in late once, and my children need to eat but i understand it's for the good of science and progress, and not money

I was an executive assistant who got laid off and I could not be prouder to lose my job for a great, super great, utterly great company. We will go down in the history books as revolutionaries and—[statement drowned out by sounds of slobbering over shoe leather]

Thanks for the opportunity, Elon! Eye on the mission. Will always be proud to say I worked for Tesla.

If this massive firing happened in Europe, the union would shut down the facory until the workers are rehired with back pay. But fire Americans and they'll apologise and give the billionaire CEO who owns 5 Bel Air mansions a $100 tip on their way out. What a joke...

Musk is a living legend. Brought thousands of of jobs to the US and these kind of decisons are difficult for him. He wouldn't do it if he felt it wasn't necassary. And so what if he's a billionaire and people praise him, he's earned it. Got further in life than you ever will.

maybe you’re not great at business if you exploit workers and still can’t make it profitable or get more cars on the road than LADA in 1987?

Do you think people would’ve kept their jobs if you didn’t waste money to shoot a car into space
-
Wrong company, Henry. That was SpaceX and Elon's personal car.
-
Oh, my bad! You’re saying Elon Musk spent a bunch of money to shoot a dumb car into space and then laid people off? So exactly what I said then? Does Elon pay you to do his PR, or do you just lick his boots for free?
-
The point is that it was elons money that put his own car into space.. And to be fair, it probably was cheaper to put his car into space than it would be to pay for 4,000 jobs worth of salaries.
-
Not the way Musk pays people. But seriously folks, I’m still curious: do you get paid to do Elon’s PR or do you just lick his boots for free?
-
I wish.
