I was at the fema headquarters in Puerto Rico on logistics for our movie and while I was there they said that @elonmusk had been unbelievably helpful to them during the rescue efforts. Bravo to Elon

Where is the media coverage ?
-
Busy covering a Tesla accident where the driver used the autopilot (even if they don't know that for sure)& didn't use it as recommended. But hey..there were a few who covered it, I told an old lady from Puerto Rico at that time & she was so happy she said she will pray for Elon.
-
Please don’t blame the media for this. Tesla made very little noise, almost none, about their projects in Puerto Rico. The media can’t make noise if no one’s talking. With car accidents, there are at least two parties involved, in public space, & police often deals with the media
-
Isn't it the job of media to find news and make some noise about it?
-
The journalists that cover Tesla, do you know anyone who actually does this? All I see is if Elon writes a tweet, they write an article. If they hear a rumor, they write an article. If they read an article, they write another article repeating it. No one “finds” news anymore.
-
Sounds like a pretty poor journalism too me.
-
Welcome to America! Welcome to earth! Investigative journalism is hard to come by on this planet and often just half done.
-
Hence blame for the media and clueless journalists who don't know about media filters. If they start to give some of the recalls other car companies as much attention as they give to anytime anything wrong happens with a Tesla, they'll find out how restricted they are.

Strange how that info never makes it into the anti-Tesla narrative

-
The anti-Tesla folks focus on the EV side of Tesla's business. They do their best to ignore the power generation (solar panels) and energy storage (Powerwalls & Powerpacks) segments as those further weaken their claim that Tesla is "poorly-managed and have defective products."
-
Also, EVs pose the bigger financial threat to the fossil fuel industry: https://twitter.com/climatecouncil/status/1001002660009594882?s=19 … Also, I genuinely think haters want to damage public goodwill toward Tesla, so they focus on causing reputational harm & avoid stories that show Tesla being a good corporate citizen.

Why not build Tesla factory in Croatia and cooperate with my boys and girls in
@AutomobiliRimac ?!?
-
Why would
@Tesla build a factory in the country where Tesla was born? -
He was born in Austrian Empire ;)
-
Where's that on the present day map? ;)

@danahull

When can we expect a detailed article about this? -
LOL I think that is why he posted the info.. I am sure one will be forthcoming ;)
-
I am not surprised Fremont Fred wrote an article about it. I would like to see more coverage in the more conventional press.
-
I agree, but traditionally companies issue press releases about projects of this magnitude.
@Tesla hasn't done that as far as I can tell. So I don't think we can blame MSM in this case. -
If journalists can only copy/paste press releases, than they are not really journalists now are they?
-
LOL not a ton of difference between a tweet and a release :) a release just provides a more complete picture eg mW being supplied, percentage of power restored etc etc.. a journalist can then take those facts and discover implications and context within industry as a whole
-
@FredericLambert's piece, because it is first, essentially serves as the press release. Good article but I am sure the@Tesla team could do a more thorough job
