It’s been 7+ minutes. The only sounds I’ve heard are birds chirping, the muffled noise of one protester crying, a police radio crackling (which they quickly turned down), and the hum of an idling ambulance. Hard to describe this moment - and the crowd is too large to count.

Protesters now chanting: “We are the voice of the voiceless. We will not go away, until we see change.”

This is the protester I heard crying. She said as she laid on the ground she realized how long it was. She said she could not understand how someone could crush someone’s neck for almost 9 minutes. This is what she wants people at home to know...pic.twitter.com/62adoffvfT

Another powerful moment, as a protester sings Lifts Every Voice and Sing.
