    look, the work of justice is exactly like housework. it's never over. you never win. you have to get up in the morning and there is more to do. The only thing to do is accept that reality and make the work of justice a lifelong, daily practice.

    If people you interact with live or work on the hill or other parts of the city that were potential targets, they likely had a rough week. When there is a national event like this it can be hard to remember that we don't all experience it the same, even if we are all hurting.

    And to underscore just how what happened impacts local DC residents. KIPP DC and Friendship -- city's largest charter networks that serves 11k students, mostly from low-income families -- are cancelling on-site meal distributions b/c they feel "staying home is the safest thing."
