    As someone who very frequently suffers “cringe attacks”, this is so interesting. Although mine tend to be less about chance embarrassments and more about times I was naive or lacked the maturity to react more appropriately (so hindsight makes it much more cringeworthy).

    Why do embarrassing memories come to you at seemingly random times? And is there any way to make them hurt a little less?
