I’m just leaving night court and my heart hurts. So many clients came through tonight on the most ridiculous charges. One was literally STEALING A LOAF OF BREAD. Straight out of Les Mis. The Manhattan DA’s office asked for 30 days jail. For a loaf of bread. I can’t. #injustice
