    10th October 1588 , ’s favourite was laid to rest in the Beauchamp Chapel of the Collegiate Church of St Mary, Warwick. his wife Lettice was interred with him in 1634.

    in 1554 Sir Thomas Wyatt was sentenced to death for leading the failed ‘Wyatt Rebellion’ against Mary I. Wyatt had opposed Queen Mary’s staunch Catholicism, and the strengthening of ties between England and Spain through her proposed marriage to Philip II.

    We see here Queen of England I situated in our Great Hall. She ruled from 1558-1603. Elizabeth set some very significant fashion trends during the 1500s, with her wardrobe full of gowns with rich fabrics draped with jewels.
