iPod was manufactured 5 months (2/8 - 2/14/2015) before the model’s official release (7/15/2015).
Model: AXXXX which was apparently used for antenna/Broadcom testing purposes.

Adding to what you said about antenna testing / Broadcom testing (?) it could have also been one that was sent to the FCC for approval. I’m having trouble figuring out if this is EVT or DVT as DVT doesn’t usually have that many markings but EVTs don’t usually go in for testing...

Poor fella got some holes cut in him :( But other then that cool find!
